Kirchberg & Kitzbühel twin towns for all seasons

Kitzbühel is well known for the most feared downhill ski race on the Ski world cup circuit. In summer its reputation is built on the beautiful surroundings and almost non stop series of events that make sure the town is always buzzing and full of life.

Kirchberg & Kitzbühel are up and coming Mountain Bike destinations. Compared with other bike centres in the Alps, Kirchberg & Kitzbühel offer it all...! Hundreds of kilometres of well maintained bike paths and MTB routes, up to 15 different gondolas to take your bike on one pass, no crowds or attitude! There is also high hopes for a dedicated new bike park here in Kirchberg - right next to gainsberg chair lift. Freeride, XC and suitable tracks for the leisurely rider, AND one of Europes best known and biggest bike parks in nearby Leogang. All of this with some of the Alps most beautiful scenery and the traditional welcoming, friendly atmosphere that only the Austrians seem to know how to do!!!

The town centre dates back to medieval times and is the perfect back drop to what is now a lively destination with plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Popular bars such as "Desperados" and Kitzbühels Irish bar "Flannigans" make sure that there is plenty of things to do once the sun goes down. Kitzbühel is host to the Austrian Open tennis tour plus many other international events that draw people from all over Europe. Motorbike fans should not miss the huge Harley Davidson fest that takes over the town for a weekend in July.

Kitzbühler Alpen rally	At the beginning of June is the top motor sport event of the year. Dozens of stunning classic cars line the streets of Kitzbühel and take part in events.
Harley Davidson Festival	Take to the streets as hundreds of bikers pour into town for a weekend of mayhem at the beginning of July. Live bands, beer tents and dancing girls for the party people amongst us!
Mountain bike racing	Hahnenkamm race. Kitzbühel is a centre in Austria for Mountain bike events. A number of races throughout the summer keep the local riders up to speed as well as the visiting pros. The Kitzalpbike race attracts more than 600 riders. Email for a bike event calendar.
Munich Oktoberfest	Nearby Munich presents the worlds biggest P*ss up every September and October! Huge beer tents full to bursting are the place to enjoy the local beers and get to know the locals...! ;-) Daily minibus from Kitz.
The Schwarsee Triathalon and X-Terra Triathalon	The Schwarsee triathlon and the X-terra triathlon are major triathlons that take place right here over the summer season. Why not get involved? These events are open to the public and many hundreds of people take part every year.
